Seller No longer registered

Good morning all

I have a question. I purchased an item t'other day which as yet hasnt come, just checked and seller is now naru, although they have excellent feedback, so i thought well its probably just a minor glitch. I tried to email them but it failed, and the report said it was 'unrouteable', does this sound like it doesn't exist or that somethings just up with it?

I've sent mail through ebay as I assume they can still get their ebay mail for the time being? I also requested their contact details in case there was an alternative email on there...but just the number which I might try in a few days if the item doesn't turn up.

I've never seen 'unrouteable' before... It could be a temporary problem with an internet traffic carrier. I don't think they'll be able to log in to ebay to retrieve mail, but it might get through to them as an e-mail that way.

If you paid by paypal start the chargeback now, otherwise I think unrouteable mail and a NARU'd seller might mean you have lost out.

you may get lucky and still get the item

i had this happen once the first time i'd ever spent more than a few pounds on something (the item was about £30) took me 3 weeks but i finally got the item

i've also had problems like this with the buyer becoming no longer registered. again after several weeks wait i finally got my money (again around £30) so i wouldn't give up hope yet but filing a chargeback may well be a good idea

if they get their account back and want to get nasty about it you can always reply to their feedback saying they became unregistered so you were trying to protect yourself...can't think of too many people that wouldn't understand that

Bought an item on Thursday and when I checked today seller is NARU. I was really surprised ast they had feedback of over 1200!

I emailed the seller today and they have told me that they have sent my item today and that it is all a misunderstanding between them and ebay.

I will wait and see if item turns up. I paid by Paypal, so if not, I will do a charge back.

    All very disconcerting though!

i've just got NARU'd with a feedback of over 400! Ebay set themselves up as judge jury and executioner so if they 'think' one of your items 'might' be contravening their terms they suspend you and then email all your recent (up to a month ago) transactions telling people you have been suspend and not to pay!

For example, selling ps2 and xbox games appears to contravene VERO policy therefore selling several 'new' games makes you liable to being suspended... OR selling PSP consoles

Meanwhile loads of con artists make ££££'s and decent ebayers get kicked around.
  • Item turned up and I also had really friendly emails from the seller, explaining that it was all a mistake by eBay, so very relieved!
