Better translation:-
Some uncertainty has arisen about Landsbanki hf. at Reykjavik and its branch Icesave in the Netherlands The Dutch authorities will contact their Icelandic colleagues for clarification. For the present, the following can be communicated.
The account balances at Icesave are subject to the Icelandic and Dutch deposit guarantee schemes. DNB will consult with the Icelandic authorities about the compensation procedure to be followed if the institution should collapse. With effect from today, the Minister of Finance has raised the guarantee of balances of account holders in the Netherlands to EUR 100,000 per person per bank for a period of one year. In the case of Icesave part of the guarantee is for the account of the Icelandic deposit guarantee scheme and not for that of the Dutch deposit guarantee scheme. If necessary DNB will facilitate account holders in claiming compensation under the Icelandic deposit guarantee scheme.
As soon as available, further details will be spread via DNBs website.0
