Hello
I have been using this site for quite a while and not felt the need to ask a question of my own until now.
It has occurred to me this week that I am now on first name terms with various people at the financial, phone and other service companies I use. Various posts tell me that this is not uncommon for people here. The main problem I have is resisting so many of the bargains people find, especially the online ones.
So here is my question. Do you give your regular post/parcel delivery people a Christmas gift? If so, what do you give?
Many thanks

I gave my cheery in all weathers postwoman £5 last year & at the moment am debating whether to give her a card with cash in this year or buy her a nice box of chocs or some wine. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Definitely yes - our postie is one in a million. He delivers the post with a cheery smile and when I was pregnant through the bad weather a couple of years ago , he would give me weather reports on how icy/cold/wet etc it was outside. We normally give a tenner inside a Christmas card . Sadly our rapport with the binmen is not so good , so for a quiet life we will give a fiver but only if they knock on the door . x0

Blimey they knock on the door!!!
I'm quite mean it appears, the bin men don't get and the postie tends to get a small bottle of whisky, we've had the same postie now for about 6 weeks which is probably a record so I don't tend to get to know them.0 -
