Please help in as simple terms as possible.
Tonight I keep receiving what is obviously Fake Scan notifications. It keeps saying you have a security problem do you want to scan your cmputer for viruses? If you hit the no button it comes up with what is obviously a fake scanning page from "secure Expert Cleaner"
Symantec keeps popping up to say that " A recent attempt to attack your computer was blocked.
We currently have Norton Anti Virus and I have ran a full system Scan with them but it has not detected any problems!!!!!!
Is this spyware...Malware......As you can probably tell I am not very technical and when I looked at the first 4 threads on here I got very confused.
Please Help!

Get rid of Norton
If you DO take this advice you need a decent firewall,I recommend Comodos ~
http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/download_firewall.html
And Anti virus. AVG, AVAST or AVIRA
Personally I use AVG ~
http://free.avg.com/download?prd=afe
But im thinking of trying out AVIRA as it seems to have VERY high detections of viruses
http://www.download.com/Avira-AntiVir-Personal-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10322935.html?part=dl-10322935&subj=dl&tag=button&cdlPid=10877501
Disconnect from the net. Uninstall Norton. reboot and make SURE its gone. Then install Comodo. Reboot and re connect to the net. Then install the anti virus program.
Another program I would recommend is SPYBOT ~

UPDATE, IMMUNISE and SCAN every month or so:idea:0 -

If you do intend to follow this advice, use the Norton Removal Tool to remove Norton.
Actually, my advice would differ in that I would say leave everything as it is until your Norton subscription runs out (Of course you should follow my PM instruction).
The only thing I would add is download, install(remove the ticks for everything other than Create Shortcut during installation) and run CCleaner0
