Hi, am looking for one night stay in really lovely hotel.
Def DON'T want a chain of any sort and would like a recommendation from somewhere someone has actually been to rather than just a link to hotel booking agency
Thx

Stayed at Shrigley HAll Hotel (Pot Shrigley, Cheshire) several times. The setting of its leisure club is stunning, inside the old monestary walls. It has its own Golf Course. Go for a suite rather than an executive room.
If you aint too bothered about leisure facilities or golf then Rookery Hall (Nantwith, Cheshire) is a fine hotel. Rooms are all indevidual and baths are so deep (perfect for two). Don't know if its a good or bad thing, but Posh & Becks got engaged there when staying over.
Stayed at both these hotels and loved them.
