Safer than they've ever been before. Your pension is not at risk unless the company sponsoring the scheme goes bust. Even if they do, then the scheme itself may still have enough money to pay out all the pensions - although that has to be doubtful today. Even if there's not enough money, then the Pension Protection Fund will top up what the scheme pays you to about 90% of your full entitlement.

Presumably, you've arranged for your pension to be paid directly into your bank account? Is it due to be paid monthly? Have you received all payments up to date? Presumably the one payment you had was for September and you should have had or will soon have another payment for October?

    Define spread..

    5 funds
    10 funds
    FTSE based ?
How on earth do you know?
It's down to the pension trustees.

I would worry (if you want to, even though it will affect your health and make things worse) if you are relying on your pension.

The PPF is technically bankrupt like the British government.
Even if you get 90% of your pension through the PPF (which I doubt you will) in the event your pension scheme folded, it's purchasing power is going to be decimated by the loss of purchasing power of the £ (and other currencies).
