Problems at TDWaterhouse ?

Couldn't get through to TDW to discuss changes to my account on a couple of brief tries during the day, but just dismissed this as bad luck at busy periods. Then when I had more time on my hands this evening I tried a few more times, holding for up to 45 minutes at a time. No answer, just the "your call is important to us ..." piffle (who do companies who spin this yarn think they're fooling ?).

I wonder if they really are experiencing "higher call volumes than usual" at nine in the evening, or if the phone's off the hook to avoid having to answer awkward customer queries ?
