I need a car for work for travel between the south and north of UK so comfort is important, but also fuel efficiency and of course reliable.

any tips on make/model or leasing companies? need something under £150 pcm.

Your budget probably takes away the bigger cars, but I could recommend a new Vauxhall Corsa - very comfortable on long journeys and build quality is pretty good (on the new models anyway). If you add £20 pm to your budget, you can buy one brand new on HP with a years free insurance included.

I regulary drive 300+ miles in a single journey, and never felt any discomfort.

I work for a leasing company and to be honest £150 a month will not get you very far.

the £150pcm is a comparison from one leasing company that has a dozen cars up to that figure.
