When is an account/bond deemed open ?

I tried to open a AA 7.21% 1 year bond today via web. All is fine and they will send documentation. If the offer closes before receipt of this paperwork, is the account deemed open by the web application or only upon receipt of cheque/paperwork ?

Thank you.

I doubt it'll be classed open until they receive your cheque - that's pretty standard, but each organisation has different rules.

I think they will honour it if the web site accepted the application.
