Netgear GD834GT or Linksys...wireless

As someone mentioned it will be a mixed bag of responses.
I'd watch out for the Netgear DG834GT and DG834G (version 2). Both use a different chipset to the standard DG834G (version 1) and can be problematic. Have a look on the Netgear forums and you'll see what I mean. My DG834GT is running ok now, but it didn't work perfectly out of the box.
I probably won't be buying a Netgear for quite some time again. I'd most likely go for a Belkin, or another Draytek."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
Thanks for your opinions...mixed bag! I willcheck out the netgear forum. I think i will go for PCMCIA connection as opposed to USB for the laptop as it appears to be more reliable. Please advise if you disagree.Filiss0

Netgear=Never!
Go for something easy like the Linksys WRT54G, underpinned by Cisco.
We use these at work all the time, cheap and reliable.0 -
I think they may have made their purchasing decision by now. Nothing wrong with Netgear kit.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Avoid Linksys at all costs, I have used a number of wireless routers and I recommend Buffalo.You can't con an honest man!0
