Computer keeps restarting

I have this weekend replaced a DDR PC2700 256MB RAM with a DDR PC3200 1GB RAM (from PCWorld compatible with pc2700).

Computer restarted a few times after replacing the RAM then stabilised for a couple of days but today is restarting every few minutes.

Is there anything I can do to stop this?

different ram. Looks like the timing is slightly out. With hotter/colder temperatures the charge may hold or decay sightly faster - depending on the circuit design.

Look up your the spec of the memory requirement on Crucial. If your PC is not a box brand type, then get the motherboard details and you may have to open the case for this.

Most companies do not like to accept returned memory as they really can't tell the returned state of the module, or even if it has been swapped out with a faulty one. Older models of Dells were notorious for having weird memory and not working with similar memory types.
GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time. ;)
