Should banks have to pay national insurance contributions?

Well ordinary folk have to to be entitled to 'handouts' from the state.

    have you been the pub?
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

They pay employers NI contribs for each employee (think it replaced Selective Employment Tax many many moons ago).

So does everyother organisation, however other businesses do not get billion pound handouts from the government do they?

No doubt the managers at these banks are the ones most likely to complaint about people living on 'handouts', obviously in this case they are not handouts at all, no more
a handout than when you make a claim on your house or car insurance because those
people are in an insuurance scheme where they pay money in when they can afford to.
The banks however pay nothing in that other organisations don't pay as well but they get these free huge handouts. Note I did not quote handouts there because the word is correct there, they are handouts in the true sensee, not in the twisted sense some people use to abuse people who don't have enough money to live on.
