sorry, its the government my gripe is with; my words were running away with mepatchwork_cat wrote: »Discodee I doubt that a) they are actually a council tenant most council housing stock has been sold to independant housing association type companies and b) I also doubt that they actually provide the insurance, but act as an intermediary and can get good prices due to bulk buying. However a housing association is an excellent LL - now if you were to get upset about the sale of housing stock in the 80's and right to buy and the resulting lack of housing stock then I would be joining in your rant.
Also it is not councils that make legislation it is government.
have to disagree with the right to buy scheme though. No, I didn't use it myself, I bought my house in 1987 in a private sale, and am only the second owner, but I thought it was a great scheme
if only we had a leader like magie now the country wouldn't be in this damned godforsaken mess.
She may not have been perfect but no way would she have opened the gates and let in everyu Tom !!!!!! and Harry. She would have handled Iraq in a professional way, and hospitals and schools would not be the dumjps they are now.
Do you know there are actually TEACHERS now who CANNOT even speak correct English!!!!!!!
Sorry I am "ranting" again now, but this government make my blood boil. Elec and gas sky high, food prices doubled, the country full, handouts to immigrants but if are born here tough, never mind MRSA and SATS results/Child benefits/tax credits data going missing. I'll shut up before I explode!I can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0 -
