Hi heskpesk,
I'm sorry you feel disappointed in us. However I can reassure you that for the vast majority of deals that get included so prominently in the weekly email, we rewrite the post, for 2 main reasons
1) Like every single article, deals page, forum note linked to from the tip, we have a duty to double check every details and make it as easy to understand as possible, for both regulars and any one of the 2,500,000 email recipients who may click through. You haven't been singled out on this point, I am struggling to recall the last deal like this that went so high in the weekly tip without being rewritten
2) To add an Official factor to it. Again, as thousands of 'newbie' users receive the email every week, we want to make sure they know everything has been fully checked, double checked and checked again for good measure.
Also, in this case, the offer you posted was actually slightly different to the one that ended up in the weekly email, and merging the threads would probably have diluted the information.
The forum is an unmatchably brilliant source for these offers, yet for the reasons above we always have and will continue adding to and changing deals so they are in the most usable form for the whole readership.
MSE Wendy does thank you by name in the OP of the thread that went out in the email. I'm sorry that you didn't feel this is enough. I can however assure you that none of the MSE team repost things just for the sake of it, and especially not to increase our thanks counts.
I hope this has helped explain why we did this the way that we did

Thank you Dan I appreciate your explaination and time taken to do this. I just got a bit excited (sad I know) as when I saw the front page I thought one of my finds had made the newsletter. So therefore im sure you can appreciate me being a little shocked when it was a later post.
With reference to being thanked by name in the OP-I did not see this morning. Would not have been edited in this morning by any chance...lol
Nevermind the main thing is that many people seem to have a good chance of receiving the voucher which is obviously paramount.
Thanks again0 -
Ditto, very very high.0

Hi dazzer68,
That's fine - as long as you entered the code it's ok; their site doesnt mention the offer.

Have just done mine, my renewal is 6th October so funnily enough I got a letter from them today, got quote which is £10 higher than my usual - and that's with 3 months off! Certainly wouldn't change insurers just to save £10, now I will go and compare with others! Thanks Martin, normally I wouldn't compare and just let whoever I'm insured with carry on for years............................ (and now I've got a £5 voucher to look forward to - I love freebies)KEEP CALM AND keep taking the tablets :cool2:0
