Where To Put Savings!!!

I'm really worried, where is the safest place to put my savings? I'm currently with Ing Direct, with ISA's with Ing and LLoyds. I don't have a clue what to do for the best. Shall I do nothing, shall I withdraw everything but if so, where shall I then save it

There are a couple of news sites with analyses at present:

I would get out of ING. The Iceland situation is indicating that foreign based banks are bad news. They will put their national interests ahead of our savings.No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

I feel exactly the same, I'm unsure if i should do anything with my savings in the Halifax?
Thier share price seems to be in free-fall.0 -
I empathise with you, being in a similar situation with Halifax. The FSCS offers some reassurance, but it's still a big headache in the event that one needs to claim, and potentially lose accrued interest, etc.
The politicians are mouthing that they won't let any major bank go to the wall, but does anyone really trust these guys?0 -
I am still reeling about the money I have in Icesave but that is not why I am posting. What with the HBOS (also have money with) & I/S mess I am freaking out. The bulk of my savings is in A&L - the amount is under £35K. Is this money safe in the interim?
The bulk of the money I save for my DD is with Halifax - should I be getting it out and depositing into Nationwide or YBS? (Building Society = full proof right?)
Do I need to worry about my money in YBS (quite a bit but once again under £35K).DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0
