Housing Benefit & Mortgage

I've just read somewhere that child maintenance is no longer to be regarded in council tax/housing benefit claims from 27th October.
Having just done a calculation it would seem I'd be entitled to about £60 a week HB if I were renting. I'm not in receipt of benefits other than tax credits/child benefit. Will I not be entitled to a penny because I have a mortgage???

If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor...

'fraid not! Not even folk on IS get help with mortgage until 39 weeks after their claim starts-and then only 80% of the interest, and if a joint mortgage you would only get it on your half.Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0
