Can't seem to get ITV and Channel 4 on freeview. Any reason why? The strength on other channels are strong so it can't be due to a weak aerial signal. Also have a aerial booster connected up. I am based in centre of Nottingham.
Thanks
Thanks
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems
Well at least i learn something on the way

I get this frequently in Wales. It can be either BBC or ITV channels, but not usually both at the same time. It's something to do with their broadcasting as not even retuning your box will get you the channel but then it's suddenly back. Can't wait till we are 100% digital next year:rolleyes:

Yes it can because the various programs are transmitted on six different muxes, each transmitting on different frequencies. It is likely that your aerial is not suitable for all of the channels used by the digital transmissions. Your aerial probably can't receive the ITV mux on CH23. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I couldn't get BBC2 last week and then I realised that updating the channels
might do the trick and it did. On your handset there should be a button that will take you to the section you need.0 -
Just got a new LCD tv with built in freeview. Tried auto tune twice and still can't get ITV or C4. I have a freeview box which i connected to another tv which is further away from the aerial booster box. I can get ITV and C4 with strong signal. Will try to tune the tv manually and see what happens.
Thanks for the replies.Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problemsWell at least i learn something on the way
