So there is at the very least an irrational fear that maybe upto £16,000 of some peoples moneys may go up in smoke in the near future.
Now this wasn't a punt at a bookies, or making an investment on behalf of a Nigerian prince, hell it wasn't even trading stocks and shares. Yet somehow a bank cleared to work in Britain could potentially obliterate Billions of British savers money.
True maybe it was wreckless to invest with a possibly unclear compensation scheme in place but at a time when people were being given mortgages they could clearly not afford and others were spending freely against loans that banks were almost giving away. Those who chose to save their money (as the government have encouraged) could lose it all.
How can this have been left to happen by the government, by regulators by anyone? How does this make sense in anyway?
With hindsight maybe I should have given my bunk acownt details to george from my bunk.

How was the compensation scheme unclear? It may have been different but that doesn't make it unclear0 -
Isn't being a financial criminal 'legal' in most of Africa? - they just follow their leaders, who have been up to it forever.0
