Specsavers, unexpected cost

  • I used to work in an optitians and it is quite easy to see what has happened.

Your hubby needed an appointment to collect his new trial lenses. A CONTACT LENS COLLECTION APPOINTMENT. The optical assistant has made the wrong appointment with him and you hubby was too stunned to argue. Simply go back and they will see immediatly that theytested his eyes when he 1st went in for lenses. Full Refund will be given.

i meant how long before visiting Specsavers for the first time did he have his eyes tested.

Yummymummy gives some good advice, i would go with that
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Pretty much irrelevant now that we know he had a test with specsavers 2 months ago. As it means the second test was not necessary, which if I'm not mistaken was the point you were making.

"how long is it since he had an eye test. If it was more than 2 years then he probably would have needed it. That is the recommended time in between eye tests.
How can they fit him with lenses if
they dont know how bad or good his eyesight is and so establishing what prescription of lenses he needs."

A contact lens checkup and a sight test aren't the same, at least not at specsavers. I always get confused but basically I go for one test one year and then another test the next... If they were giving you contact lenses I would have thought you would have had a sight test then a check up a year later....
  • didnt see that comeing did you ..........sorry cant help it

or your hubby requested an eye test and booked himself the wrong appointment.
Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"
  • All went as Yummymummy predicted, OH went in, explained, manager was got & a fully refund given, np :)

The Lone Ranger - Groan, thats awful, lol

sillyvixen - The appointment was made for him by the person who had ordered his next pair of contacts so the fault was not his.
