Treviso airport & Venice Card

I'm off to Venice, arriving at Trevio airport at 8.30pm with Ryanair in November.
I want to buy a 7 day Venice Card online because it's cheaper to do so. But, apparently you can't pick it up at Treviso airport, ie you have to pick it up in one of Hellovenezias offices if you order online. These offices will be closed when we get to Venice.
It says on the website that it doesn't include the trip from the airport to Venice. So I phoned them and the lady said that there's a version of the Venice Card that does include the airport trips from Treviso but it's not advertised on the site. Does anyone know if this is so and will the Venice Card ticket office at the airport still be open at 8.30pm?
Their website is unclear and when I phone them they make it more unclear. So I guess I'm seeking the advice of those who have been there.

We're off to Venice just before Christmas and have the same query about the Venice Card. We are away over a 5 day period and could buy a normal 3 day and 24/36 hour travel pass ... but we are intrigued by the Venice Card. If anyone has used one since issue earlier this year, I would be interested to hear if it is worth it. I note that you can buy a version that includes the return bus journey from Treviso airport to Venice. It would be interesting to find out if your can buy this at the airport ... would definitely make sense ... but from where? The card says it allow free/cheap entry into museums & churches. Again, I would be interested to know how much this saves instead of paying on the day. Another benefit is you can use the pubkic loos for free twice a day!!! ... seems odd to me but will be handy! Have a lovelt time in Venice Steve_xx and please report back.

The Venice Card is better value than the normal transport card it seems. The problem is getting one before you go. Apparently you can get it at Treviso airport. If you order it online and then take the receipt that you print out and pick it up at one of a few designated outlets, then it costs less. One of those designated outlets is not Treviso airport and by the time I arrive there all of the designated offices will be closed. For instance, a 7 day card bought online, for transport only, is E47.90 whereas to buy it when you get there it's E58.00. Here's a link:

Hi Steve_xx, yes it is very confusing to the leyman. I don't think the sponsors of the Venice Card have ironed out all the issues yet. Thank you for the link. I didn't realise it *could* be cheaper if bought online ... only where to collect from at Treviso Airport?! The link doesn't mention it, only Marco Polo. "One Card Thousands Of Permutations" I'm arriving around 3pm and would love to know where to collect a pre-bought ticket from ... will have to research more!
Like you, ideally I would like to pre-purchase or buy at Treviso airport, so it could be used on the journey to Venice.
Have a wonderful time and please let us know how you get on ... with any useful tips please!

Have just found this link: http://www.hellovenezia.it/jsp/en/popbiglietteria/biglietteriaid_45.jsp
So perhaps that answers my question of where to pick it up from ... just need to find out how useful it is now ... and f it works from Treviso Airport to Venice!

Ah yes, you arriving at 3pm will make things better. Let me clarify for you. Even though you will arrive at 3pm you cannot order online and collect it from Treviso airport. But you can buy one from Treviso when you get there, apparently! Instead you can order online and collect it from the ATVO transport offices at Agenzia P.le Roma, when you get off of the link bus in Venice. You would be wise to get a card because each vaporetto journey costs E6.50.
I know this information because I actually phoned them about it. The website is unclear and it does make it appear that you can buy one from online and collect it from Treviso.
By the way, there isn't much to save on having it valid from Treviso to Venice, ie for use on the airport bus. The airport bus costs £9 for a return journey and if you buy a Venice card inclusive of this trip then they just seems to load the E9 fare on top of the standard card prices, almost.0
