Brushed aluminium scratches - remedies?

Hi - I've recently moved into my first property, a new build that has lots of brushed aluminium surfaces on appliances etc. in the kitchen.
Needless to say my enthusiasm to keep the girlfriend happy and keep the place clean has backfired as I caused a number of scratches. I've seen polishes that supposedly remove scratches on such surfaces - can anyone recommend a product that actually works?
Thanks

I am a cider drinker - like my father before me.

Fine wire wool & tiny amount of pressure, with a teeny bit of Cif.(cos it's supposed to NOT scratch)
Or just the Cif, on a cotton bud if they are light marks.
