B&B now under Abbey Santander

I know I'm probably very slow on this one, but I've checked my personal email account for the first time in at least a week today...
I got an email from Abbey Santander saying welcome to their group etc. Does this mean Bradford & Bingley (who I have a vast majority of my savings with) didn't get nationalised like Northern Rock?
What does this mean for my savings?

The savings division got sold to Santander. The mortgages and lending division got nationalised.
For your savings, it means that your savings are protected up to the FSCS limit of £50,000, however now B&B and Abbey count as one financial institution, so if you have money in each, only the first £50,000 across both banks is covered.You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -
It means nothing has changed apart from the letter head, same money, safer than ever, it's just administered by a differnent company now.
