Question re Financial Services Compensation Scheme

With apologies if this has been answered before, but due to the number of threads I cannot find an answer. Different sites talk of Savings or Deposits in relation to this scheme and I am unable to find the answer as the terms Savings and Deposits could have different meanings. Talking to representatives of the two institutions has confused me even further, therefore;
I have a Personal Investment Plan with Halifax, an Equity ISA with Halifax, an e-bond with Nationwide and a Flex account with Nationwide. The Savings/Investments/Deposits in each institution are below the £50k, but will I receive 100% compensation or does it vary from one type of "deposit" to another, and if so what are my entitlements likely to be please? I appreciate that any stock market losses in relation to the PIP would not be covered.
I'd appreciate any help/advice/explanation you can give,
Thanks.
