0% Deal - Coming To An End

Apologies if this has been covered before. My 0% balance transfer deal is coming to an end in Nov. During the 15 month deal period, Virgin has increased my credit limit by X amount. What I would like to do is call Virgin up and ask them to increase my bal transfer to 95% of my new credit limit, charge me 3% on the whole amount as if it was a 'new' balance transfer and then reset the clock so I have another 15 months at 0%. Has anyone done this sucessfully?
Thanks!
Thanks!

To get a repeat deal you generally need to clear the balance to zero, then call them and suggest that you may want to close the card down. It is then in their interests to offer you a revised promotion to keep you as a customer.
If there is still a balance on the card, then there is no advantage to Virgin to renew your promotion because they would lose out on the interest they would charge otherwise.

You may find this article on the stoozing website useful for helping to negotiate extended deals. NickX is right to say that they won't give you one when you still have a balance on it.

Barclays are doing 0% for 10 months, try them if Virgin say no0

There's also http://www.shell.co.uk/smc (Shell MasterCard from citibank), offering 0% on balance transfers for 12 months (3% fee)
Edit: Actually, the Barclaycard OnePulse card now seems to be offering 0% on balance transfers for 14 months (2.5% fee), so would be a better deal in all respects.0 -

Both barclaycard and capital one wouldn't offer me any deal on 0%, now the previous ones have expired.
Barclaycard suggested I apply for a new card, but as I applied for a virgin yesterday I might give that a miss for a bit.0
