Cheap Ugg boots discussion

This is a long thread and I haven't had time to look at it all, so it is possible that someone has already pointed this out.. you are aware, I hope, that "Ugg Australia" is a con? That they are not an Australian company? And their Uggs are not made in Australia?
"Ugg Australia" is a brand name owned by an American company called Decker Outdoor Corporation. Their "Uggs" are made in China. I went into Schuh today as I was passing and examined some. China, it is indeed.
Don't listen to me, try looking at this website, run by a genuine Family business in New South Wales.. for some reason, it appears you will not let me post a url here, so you will have to google for Mortels. Their website is mortels dot com sot au - They have a page that will tell you more about the "Ugg Wars."
I feel quite let down and I hope others will support proper Australian companies like Mortels too. I have ordered some.. and will be happy to let you know how I get on
This too...
Yes, people know Ugg Australia aren't Australian. Anyone who wants a pair, but is after legitimate Australian product with sheepskin wouldn't pay the price. Anyone who is after the 'fashionable' item will, because it is the brand that is fashionable, hence the price.
Funny really, as my Australian family are horrified that I'd pay that price for (Decker) UggsAs Australians will wear their cheaper 'authentic' versions costing far less (with no socks too which horrifies me at the thought)

I've been to Costco today and they were selling UggsAustralian for just under £150. They had tall, short all different colours and also short knitted boots - not sure what they were called but would look great with jeans/trousers.0

I have just bought a pair of long uggs from ASOS with the discount code ASOSGRAZIA, this gave me 25% off, so just under £150 for them!0

Slightly OT but you guys want to consider Mukluks - Canadian boots which came out about the same time as Uggs. They are even warmer and I just love mine.
