It will be a Europlug BS EN 50075. They are currently allowed (without having to also compulsorily supply a converter socket with the product) on bathroom products designed for use with shaver sockets. This product fits that description. The plug must be moulded on.
You can cut the plug off and replace it with a normal 3-pin UK plug if you want to.
or use the following

Now you know why the one they initially sold you, had been opened and returned0 -

went to my local Argos yesterday and purchased a Philips grooming kit.QG3040. Got home and found that it had been resealed with sellotape and a sticker put on by one of their assistants. Knowing that Argos are good at putting out returned stock I took it back this morning. I was given a lame excuse about "they always have to open one". When I asked "WHY" the assistant shot off and got me an unopened one.
You can imagine my fury after getting home again and opening it, to find that the plug was a two round pin one. ( no earth ) is this a European plug? if so is it legal to sell it in this country?. The Ad in the book made no mention of having to buy another connecting plug for this to fit into.
Youv'e got to remember a large amount of Argos goods are 'seconds' wrapped up in polythene to look new.
I used to deliver for them, And Argos repair and recycle their goods, And they have a 'legal' requirement authorising them to do that.
As Argos goods are at the bottom end of the sales scale.Thomson 757 Man0
