  • We've been luck enough to get tickets for the recording on the 18th... Could somebody who has past experience of this, please give an indicator of how many hours before you need to be there, to stand a chance of getting in? Cheers!
  • Hi, I have had quite good experiences with applause store so far, but only won or been given my tickets not got ones that had been applied for online.

I went to TOP Gear about 2 years ago to watch the filming of it and be the audience, it weas great (got them (2 tickets) through someone i knew at the top gear magazine @ the BBC through work) I think to top gear they only send as many as the studio can hold and no more so there is no queing.

Then last year i 'won' on the radio tickets to go see Britains got talent being filmed I 'won' 2 tickets but when i rang them to arrange a date they said i could have as many as i wanted. We were told that our tickets were VIP and i turned up and hour before the show and qued in the VIP que, we got let in, while the other que which was round the block it was so big, had to wait. There was no seating arrangement, everyone just ran for the best seats near the front. but at least we got in.
Being from up north, if i was told I had tickets to go and it was in London, I would only go and pay for accommodation if it was gauranteed entry.

  • Ive applied for tickets this year, always do, but nothing. I know so many people that get tickets as they have 'friends who work there' so doubt Ill ever get them thru applause..

Have been to quite a few tv shows down in LDN, the queueing is a nightmare, esp if theres a big act on the show. People that live a certain distance away [out of LDN] usually get 'priority' tickets where you're guarenteed to get in [obv dont wan2 travel all the way down to LDN and not end up getting in! :)] not sure if X factor works in the same way tho?!

Have fun all those going tho..

  • We've been lucky enough to go to a lot of TV show recordings, and usually getting there 1 or 2 hours before is enough to get in.

However, while talking to one of the bookers at applause store she told me that X-Factor was different and people went nuts and that we'd have to get there well in advance (but she wouldn't say how far in advance).

So, if anybody has queued in previous years, some advice on how early to get there would be appreciated!

I can't remember exact timings, but I know we went to an Indian restaurant for lunch so we probably queued from 1.30-2pm.

The really annoying thing was that people were pushing in, and I remember someone complaining to the 'security' people but they couldnt really care less. They told us it was down to us to deal with!

Enjoy it if you do get to go!

Oh and there was a group from Leeds who had come down for the show and they didnt get in. So if it was me, and I had a long journey to make, I wouldnt risk it.
  • Thanks peaz... we don't actually have to travel that far as we live in Middlesex. However, my folks are thinking of coming down from the North East so it is a bit of a dilemma!
