To be more pecise a lensecover for a M reg (95) Ford Mondeo, it's the mk1.

A stone has just gone and smashed the glass! only had the thing a fortnight!!!

Can this be sourced over the internet or is it a case of searching the local scrappies?

Thanks,

Pete.

  • I would search the internet to see if there's a Mondeo owners' club, and post there! - such a club is also likely to have links to suppliers.

    Good luck!

    P.S. there is!!!!!!1 :Dhttp://www.fordmondeoownersclub.co.uk/

    Thanks Jobbingmusician,

But I thought i'd do a search on the net and have registered my details and part req with find-a-part.com and no sooner had I submitted literally within 3-4 minutes the phone began to ring!!! had several prices up to now the best being £25 give it another 1/2hr see if it can be beaten before ordering. Well impressed with the speed of find-a-part.

    Cheers,

    Pete.

How much is a NEW lite unit - try your local car body panel suppliers - by the time the VAT & delivery is added, you'll not be far off NEW price - I'll bet!!

Even Ford dealers offer EXCELENT prices on old parts stock!!

i also have a mondeo like urs. i far as i can recall you can get away by just removing the plastic lens cover and not haveto replace the whole unit. you can just undo and not remove the bumper for this. just press it down. i just cant think why ford has done this apart to gain money by making it difficult and you have to book it in at frauds sorry ford garage
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D
