Good to hear you're OK Jinks ;)

Have we heard how Luc's DH is doing after his op ?
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

It is actually just starting to dawn on me the implications of our income suddenly being halved in one fell swoop:eek:

    What's up hun?

Oh just the usual sar, I'm really really having a rough time... and I thought I was quite a tough old bird. I'm just in constant pain, by back, pelvis bum and legs are murder and I just can't get comfortable at all. I seem to spend the whole day just longing for bed time, so it's another day done. Cheerful soul aren't I.

Fran has been home for the past few days though which has been lovely. But tomorrow starts the October/november tour and I won't see him for a few weeks. I've decided that when I see the midwife tomorrow I am going to book a home birth. I still don't know until Oct 24th if the placenta has moved, if not I will need to go in for the C section anyway, but I am going to insist that they don't make me go into hospital for the couple of weeks before hand. I just can't do it, I have too many other commitments.

But assuming that I am good to go for a natural birth, it would be so much easier for the midwife to come to me rather than trying to guess when the baby will come to make sure fran is home to organise getting me to the hospital and finding someone to look after Amber at short notice. I tend to have quick births so by the time all of that is done I'd likely be delivering anyway. At least with a home birth, I can stay here with the kids if he is working and won't need to worry about driving myslef to the hospital in labour.

People are getting me down with the attitude that he should just take the time off, but our lives just don't work that way. it's not that we wouldn't love for him to be home, it's just we can't have him cancelling a months worth of gigs, Amy would need to find another engineer and that would be his gig lost. We can't afford for us both to be out of work. We just have to hope that it all happens when he is home, if not, I need to get on with it on my own. To add to the joy, he has now been booked for the US tour from 24th November until christmas eve. I'm due November 18th:rolleyes:

Our only other option is to book a private induction at the Portland, but at over 5k I just won't spend that. Plus I am getting grief from the MIL from hell who wants to come over and stay with me. No chance, the woman is a bloody nightmare.

    Ok, I'll stop now:rotfl:

I'm really happy to see that you are feeling positive about the future though. I really hope it all works out for you.

    Awwww toto....

dare i say that MIL from hell might be tough but it would be good to have another adult around the place to help share the load....??

She just might come into her own and be your saving grace if Fran is away... and i bet he would actually feel a bit better about having to go if she were there......

it could be the best thing... as long as you lay out some boundaries before hand...

i would bit her hand off for the adult company if i were you.....

IMHO of course... you know your own situation best.

(((Hugs))) for you Toto...she will be worth it when she arrives...what a fuss these babies make:rolleyes:

OH is out of the meeting and is still none the wiser.....they were explaining a "point scoring" method that they are using to decide who is out/in.

They all are being made to wait till the end of the week for a final decision......bastwerts:mad:
