Oh my, I'm remembering Europe (final countdown, carrie and cherokee), listened over and over on the coach back from Spain (27 hours of a Europe cassette was a bit excessive but it was that or listen organ music that the driver had listened to on the way down!
Pink Floyd (another brick in the wall) and Dire Straits (brother's in arms) were the favourites at High School, with The Smiths (girlfriend in a coma) and Housemartins (happy hour) thrown in as well as REM (everybody hurts)
In our 20s it was Chris Isaacs "Wicked Game", Abba's Mamma Mia and all the others. I have tapes that I play in the car that Ash and I first recorded before each 'trip' to the coast or lancaster, london and liverpool to see friends.
