Guys. I've withdrawn my money from my Kaupthing edge easy access account but have tried and been unable to withdraw from fixed term deposit kaupthing edge account despite navigating on my internet account. Is this something that has to be done over the phone. Can it be done? Help me please.
I've also withdrawn money from icesave too but unfortunately i still have money in a fixed term account. I cannot sleep. This is killing me. I have worked so hard for my savings and there is so much panic from everyone. The Prime minster of iceland has made me more anxious by only reassuring iceland nation but not overseas investors.
It feels like i was the only one stupid enough to put money in a fixed term account. Am i alone. Is there anyone else out there in the same boat as me who has money in a fixed term account. A lot of people on here were savvy enough only to put money in an easy access account. I have been so foolish, so foolish.

Your KE accounts are fully covered under the FSCS up to the now £50K limit. I too have a fixed term with KE.0 -
I asked for all of my term deposits to be closed and moved to instant access. KE said it would take a few days. I check today (when I was told it would be completed by) and only a couple have been closed. This isn't giving me any peace of mind whatsoever.0

Hello all
This is my first post, I have a £50,000 FTD with KE and am not too worried as its covered by the FSCS, well only a little worried!0 -
The ones that weren't broken aren't showing on their system (but I can see on my online account) anymore and they aren't in my savings account. Trying to stay calm tho

All you panickers are just making it worse clogging up their systems0

It's my perogative to withdraw as I can get a very similar rate elsewhere that does faster payments and I can see online using Egg Money Manager. It's my decision. I don't think you can blast people for wanting to withdraw thei money.0
-
Yes but you can't complain about delays when you decide to do it at exactly the same time as all the other panickers0

I did this last week, I asked for a bunch of term deposits to be closed. They closed half, and left the others.
They can't decide that their 2/3 day closing/withdrawel process will now take twice as long because they're busy.0 -
I can't believe people like you can't see that all your panicking is just making things worse.0
