Can someone tell me whats the best savings account to do this in?

I have a MBNA card. Limit 4200. want to transfer to current account to transfer to good savings account. Will be making monthly payments from here and taking into account the fee of 2.9% what will i make? is this worth doing? It will be for one year
tried to use the snooze calculater but no good at it!!
