Any NI Tesco Couponers

Hi all,
This is quite long but I need a bit of advice.
I recently found out about Tesco's internet coupon policy (for those that don't know just have a look at this forum:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1103953 ) and tried to use some I downloaded in my local one (Ballymena). When I went to use them the SA said there was no such policy and called over a supervisor who also said that Tesco had no coupon policy either so I got them a copy and left it with them (Customer service read the policy sheet and refunded me the value of the coupons I had).
Next week went to do my groceries and was told no I can't use the coupons. I explained what had happened and nobody had known anything, told them that the policy had been put into their folder but the folder could not be found. I ended up just paying for my groceries and brought in 2 copies of the policy the next time I was in and was told that that should be ok. After that I just went to the main CS desk to do my shopping because they have to take all coupons there and they need to take down the Clubcard number on the back of the coupons.
Anyway, yesterday I went to get some groceries and went to use my coupons. To be told by the CS desk that there was no such policy, I told the girl exactly which folder the other SA had put the policy sheet but she would not look instead went to get a supervisor. Who said no and called another person who went away for about 20 mins and came back to say that the deputy manager does not acknowledge the policy and that I can contact CS in Dundee if I want to know why. I tried to explain that I'd been told it was ok as long as the clubcard number was noted and had used coupons since then but was told that had not happened.
What I want to know
1 - are there any other Tesco couponers here who's store is coupon friendly?
2 - is there anyway I can get a hold of the store manager, I've been told its in between managers, I asked to speak to either the new or the old one and was told I could not.
The thing that annoys me is that I at no point ever abused their policy, I always followed it to the letter and I only used them once a week at most. To tell you the truth the coupons made a big difference to our grocery bill, so I'm reluctant to just let this drop. I would not mind if they set a limit to how many coupons I could use in a transaction (like some of the UK stores do) but to be just told no is annoying.
Feel so much better getting that of my chest!!

No excuse being 'between managers'. To me that is a fob off. Contact their Head Office and ask for full contact details (ie title, address, telephone number) for the person with regional management responsiblity for stores in Northern Ireland then contact them.butterfly )i(0

Telephone numbers for the two UK Head Office bases can be found at:

You could also ask to speak to someone in the UK Support Office:

There is also the option of getting in touch with the likes of Couponnet themselves (or where you printed the coupon) and informing them of the problem of using an internet coupon. They will get in touch with the store (or stores) and pave the way for your future visits with vouchers.
Hope this is useful for you :jNI member no. 3280 -
Thank you butterflymum and wardrobewitch, will start calling but I think the answer will be "at manager's discretion". That happens occasionally over in the UK but for every 1 that says no to coupons there'll be 2 that take as many as you can throw at them. I've had such a rough time with the Ballymena store it's put me of trying at other stores, so was hoping others who do use coupons would list stores that take them.Norn Iron Club Member No 1270

I always just ask the cashier politely to check and see how many coupons will be accepted by the system, then I leave it at that. I have never had a problem yet in the Ballymena store.

I have recently started using them too after reading about it on here. I use the Carrickfergus one or the one at the Abbeycentre and have never had any problems. Apart from using the self scan, these seem to be set at one coupon and then you need the cashier to accept it, so I always go to a cashier rather than self scan.;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0
