Trying to estimate my overall usage after too many estimated bills.

I know how much gas I have used in the last 7 months (March - September) but don't know how to estimate how much my full year usage might be based on this. I have gas water heating (bath plus 2 showers per day) plus gas hob plus any heating (thermostat means heating comes on when cold, don't turn it off for the summer) - I think it came on a little in August and September but can't remember what the spring was like for heating.

Anyone any thoughts on how to estimate annual usage?
I think....

I don't think there is a way without some history to go by. Do you know how much you used in March? You could multiply that by five and and add that on to the seven months you have. That would give you a rough idea.

Thanks for the replies so far.

2 bed terrace, 2 adults 2 small children so 24/7 heating. Thermostat was 23 day, 19 night last winter but am trying 21/17 this year. Don't have individual months usage only 7 month period March - October. Just wondered if anyone with gas hot water and heating might have an idea of relative summer / winter usage or be it we use a fair amount of hot water all year round with the baths, gas hob etc.

Obviously difficult to give any accurate estimation, but if you have used 12,000kWh from Mar to Sep(7 months inclusive) I suspect you are looking at close to 30,000(perhaps a little less)
So £80 a month would be reasonable.

You seem to be quite a high user of gas, perhaps the 24/7 heating accounts for it, and the 23 degree thermostat.
To give you some idea my usage from March to Sep this year was 5733kwh, the heating was used in March and Sep and perhaps some of April? This translates into a yearly consumption of about 17500kwh once we add in the winter heating with Thermostat set at 22 and heating on for 15 hrs a day.
Oh just to add, this is a 3 bed detached bungalow, with a condensing boiler.
