Connecting TV's In Different Rooms

Have got Sky+ in lounge and wife wants to be able to watch same channel on another TV in another room on opposite side of the house. Had planned to route coax cable out of lounge and around the back of the house and back into the other room. However have just spoken to electrician who thinks we maybe able to use the existing coax leads within the aerial points.
Its a new house and we must have around 4 to 5 rooms with aerial points/coax cables going (I assume) up to a junction box in the loft, which when attached to an external aerial would supply pictures. As we have Sky and therefore no intention of using the aerial points in the usual manner, theory would be to connect the lounge and other rooms coax cables together (basically remove each cable from junction box and use interconnect).
I would then just use short interconnect coax from box of Sky+ box to aerial socket in lounge and then the same from aerial point to back on second TV in the other room. All sounds like it would work in theory. Aerial chap is calling me tomorrow to discuss further. Anyone reckon this is a goer?? Would certainly be easier than routing move cable around the outside of the house....

What you need is an RF modualtor, I think the sky+ box has one built in. This sends the signal back into the coax, so can be tuned into from any tv connected to the same junction box. Much neater than a sender!Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

Run a coax cable from the back of sky plus box from socket marked rf2 into aerial socket in wall.Locate the lounge aerial cable (that you have just connected to) which will be in loft.Connect this to the INPUT of your distribution amp in loft (if there is one) .Then connect all bedroom cables that are also in loft to outputs of said amp and then all bedroom points will be capable of recieving skyplus although it will be the same channel as downstairs.Thisa should all work ok as your aerial chap should confirm when he visits.
p.s. A video sender is not as good ..if it works lol.Onwards and Upwards0 -

Hi sorry to hijack this thread but I am looking to do something similar, the only problem is my sidistribution amp in the loft only has one input slot (which is where the main tv aerial goes into, does anyone have any suggestions as to how to solve this? Do I need to buy a new distribution amp? if so are then any recommendations? Or is there away around this? Sorry if my question is a simple one but I am learning as I go with this.0 -
If you have a proper modulator, you can split the input to the amp and use that.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

Sorry im not too sure what you mean, at the moment all I have is something like this in my loft http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=223502 which my main (external) aerial plugs into and then sends to the rest of the house.0

I have connected my External Aerial and the lead connected to my Sky box into my existing distribution amp, whilst I can now get Sky in each room the picture is very fuzzy and pretty much unwatchable. Does anyone have any possible solutions to this?0
