Does anyone have a simple bean salad recipe?
Perhaps you have other ideas you can give me for increasing fibre, other than porridge! Although, I have to say I've really taken to adding oats to things. At the moment I'm eating muesli, wholemeal bread, lots of portions of fruit and veg and baked beans. Pulses are something I've nearly tried and I think I'd really like them if I just knew what to do with them.
Oats are good as they are kinder on the system than bran.
Look out for the F Plan diet books in charity shops. These are loaded with high fibre recipes. Eat whole fruit/veg rather than juicing as this is added fibre.Truth always poses doubts & questions. One thing with cooking beans and pulses is that you do need plenty of seasoning, especially salt, otherwise they can be very dull and bland."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Forgot to add in my previous post that if you fancy a treat you could make some flapjacks.
To make them even higher in fibre you could add chopped dried apricots or raisins.
