If you are registering to use student discount you obviously need to prove you are a student. You can find the uni code and course code by going to
http://www.ucas.com/instit/index.html - click on the uni attended and there will be a code next to the name ie. UCL is U80
For the course code you need to search https://www.ucas.com or the university's website for the course. The course code is what is used when filling out the UCAS application.
You'll also need your NUS number.

    hope that helps
  • Wow Thanks for that Mrsmanda. this is all so new to me he's the first in the family to go to uni and we all have no idea!!! and you know what the student lifestyle is like, he's a bit busy at the mo!! so it's left to me. Thank you X

I was the first in my family to go to university so I know what it's like.
But from experience (both mine and of friends) please try not to do everything for him.
Yes as a student you want to be out socialising a lot but simple acts such as doing your washing, cooking and buying your own books serve to bring you down to a slightly more even keel. As a student, the earlier you learn to organise yourself and work out how to balance studying, socialising and simple domestic things, the more likely you are to be relatively relaxed by the time the exams come round.

Hope he's having fun :) He's lucky to have you there.
