rumbling

Zanussi 1050 washing machine getting very noisey on spin.Got estimate for repair £130 Wonder if worth spending that amount or should i go for a new one, its about 5 years old. Its the first trouble its given.Anybody know who is discounting washers at the moment.Thanks in advance. :j

    Make sure you check your guarantee. I missed out on the fact that if you use a registered repairer parts may be free. Realising this would have saved me £200 & I'd have a working machine by now. The free parts out weigh the engineer cost.
    It has also been suggested that if budget allows a really expensive new washer eg Dyson which I think has a 10 yr guarantee, costs less to run & soso saves on electricty (& therefore environment) So more cost efective in the long term. Worth a thought I s'pose.
    As someone who has gone through a washer a year buying cheap doesnt always pay off.
