I have debt of about £21,000 and used to pay £511 a month towards this through CCCS,(balance was about £29,000 when I started).However due to now having a much less paid job £320 every 4 weeks compared to £1100 a month,I am unable to make repayments and my CCCS account has been closed as a result.I can not see much options for me as with the CCJ I have my expenditure is more than my income,so asking for advice via here.
See below for some figures.
Income = £320 every 4 weeks
Expenditure = £299 every 4 weeks
CCJ = £25 a month
Left = -£4

You need to write to the court and explain your change of circumstances and request that the ccj payments be reduced.
Basically you have £29 to service all your debts, including your CCJ - so you need to allocate the £29 to all your creditors..maybe if you posted your full expenditure including your debts someone will be along shortly to give you some better advice...Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Due to having only £29 to split between 10 creditors,the CCCS closed my account due to it not being acceptable.As a result of non payment a CCJ was issued for one of the debts.I sent an up to date budget to the court (they 1st of all demanded £125 a month),they then demanded £25 a month as of 2 weeks ago,saying I can afford it.They forget to take in to account that it leaves me £4 short and I obviously am left with nothing for my other creditors,who are all threatening action etc.
I will try and post up who I owe money etc tomorrow if neeeded to assist with advice.0 -
Is your current income JSA or is this a part time job?? Is there any chance of getting a second job to increase your income because £320 is very very low...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Definitely think you need to contact the court and show them your income and expenditure and get them to re address the amount you are paying for the CCJ.Making my money go further with MSE :j

I did that to get it down from £125 to £25.The creditor is supposedly not willing to except less.........though were only getting £5 a month when I was on a higher income and paying via CCCS????????They do not make sense!!!!!0 -
what about utilities? are they all included?, you need to get rid of the mobile, or at least swap it to PAYG, also, clothing/hair/sports and sundries, this lot comes to £68 a month, while you are on such a low income you need to reduce this significantly.
Are there any top up benefits you can claim whilst you are on this apprenticeship? how long is it expected to last and can you get a second job? (bar work in the evening or something?)Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00 -

All utilities are included in my free accommodation.My mobile is PAYG and is needed due to my location.All figures have been reduced greatly are as a result of a consultation with CCCS and are below what the government suggests for a single person my age etc etc.I can not reduce anything any further due to personal circumstances such as location and my job.
The apprenticeship ends 16th Nov,however thats when the season ends for the company I work for,so I can not use my apprenticeship until next season in Feb 09 at the earliest.I am an outdoor activities instructor.
Due to being a non driver and 12 miles from the closest town,extra work in the evenings etc is hard to get,plus I am sure it's not allowed as part of the contract I have with my current employer.0 -
Cut out £5 of newspapers or cut your clothing budget by £5 for now - you then have £1 spare and problem solved. Start applying NOW for jobs when your apprenticeship ends - Christmas jobs will going quickly so you need to get applying!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
