Baxi Combi Boiler - How did I get my heating to turn on via the thermostat!!

Hiya,
I recently moved into a house with a baxi combi boiler, now it is starting to get a bit colder I wanted to set my heating so it comes on when it is under a certain tempeature via the thermostat.
On looking at the dial on the boiler it only has 3 settings for the heater which are : Off, Constant and Timer. The manual does'nt have anything in. Has anyone got any ideas??
Thanks

So do you actually have a thermostat? If I understand your question, set it to constant and use the thermostat. If you actually have one, it is always controlling the temperature, how well depends on how well it is located and installed. After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union

Set the heating to constant and adjust the thermostat to the temperature you want.
I do this with mine so the house temperature never drops below twelve. I turn it up in the morning for a while and again in the evening.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4
