ok - seen a nice house. How do we know if it's a repossession?

It doesn't look like a "typical" repo from the photos, and if you've been round and there's no notice, then it's not.
I notice from the birds eye view photos (although no way of knowing how old those are) that next door's had some pretty heavy duty building work done - bet they weren't popular with the neighbours. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
oh yeh! - and I've just looked at the aerial one - and there's a swimming pool not a house!!! It looks like lots of people have sold off their back gardens0

The repo son is buying has no stickers or tapes or notices! The EA told him when he met him to view it. BTW, they stated 28 days to complete, not 14 and are they likely to kick your offer out if you havent completed by then - I dont think so .:)0
-
14 day exchange/completions usually only happen with a cash buyer, if you require a mortgage you usually have 28 days to exchange/complete. If you go for it, make sure they stipulate 28 days from the point of the contract being offered, not the offer being accepted.0

10 X 10 "master" bedroom? They're having a laugh.Been away for a while.0

I agree. As the main bedroom for a house, 10 x 10 is tiny. Once you have a double bed in there, where do you put your clothes etc?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
