IceSave Maximum Transfer

This isn't a thread about the IceSave worries - I think that has already been covered - and besides I'm leaving my money where it is, honest!

My question is: I'm sure ages (months, last year?) IceSave told me that the maximum direct debit transfer from their account had changed. But I can't see on their website what it is, does anyone know? I think it might be £4000 but I'm not sure. Is this the same thing as BACS?

Thanks

Not sure there is a max, it certainly wouldn't be low like 4K anyway.

    Is it in the T+Cs?
  • I can't see it there, that was one of the first places I looked - though I may have missed it.

Don't know if this helps but the UK banking system has a general rule of 9K per day over the internet or phone.

I'm pretty sure (but don't have a link), that it's unlimited. I've moved large sums around with BACS and DDs before with no problem, so it's unlikely there would be with Icesave, as it's run over the internet.

I often move more than 9K between business accounts a day, so I'm not sure how true that info is. Some banks set a max per transfer, such as 10 or 15K, and then you can run as many transfers as you like.

I've pulled and pushed tens of thousands each way with Icesave. No limit as far as I've encountered.

There won't be a limited going out, but for other accounts which you push money into via BACS like Kaupthing it'll be limited by the online limit set by your bank, so you'd have to move in stages as per isofa above.
  • Ok, that all makes sense. I may have read the email wrong or something. Thanks for the replies :)
