e.on confusing letter again!
Hi,
I recently switched from energyonline extra saver 5 to energy online extra saver 8. Only to receive a short while after the switch a letter stating that prices are going up. I think they sent it by mistake as the new prices seemed to apply to the old energyonline extra saver 5.
Today, another letter stating: sorry for the previous mistake, here are the correct prices (effective from 22 august):
electricity: 27.111p/10.836p
gas: 6.53p/3.557p
But, as far as I understand this is still to do with the old energyonline saver 5, isn't it?
If I log in on the website it states:
EnergyOnline Extra Saver 8:
electricity:19.6455p/10.647p
gas: 4.5696p/2.9127
VAT inclusive.
I am confused now!

Hello,
I don't know about the specifics of your particular query but I've also had some very confusing correspondence from EON regarding a switch of mine from British Gas.
It strikes me that they do as much as they can to confuse you but do nothing which ensures you pay as little as is possible. They obviously prefer to look after their shareholders rather than their customers.0 -
Well, there wasn't any query: I just receive these letters out of the blue and as far as I understand they don't relate at all to the tariff I'm on!0

If you switched on or after 22-8-08 you would have to be notified of the increase that applied from 22-8 until you changed tariffs.0

Of, course, yes, it does make sense since I switched on 4 sept 08. Thanks!brysiewysie wrote: »If you switched on or after 22-8-08 you would have to be notified of the increase that applied from 22-8 until you changed tariffs.0
