DD has just been to view a studio flat, which was perfect but no heating at all. With the electric prices shooting up we just wondered what the cheapest and warmest electric heaters are, bear in mind she's having a baby next March:D

  • All electric heaters cost exactly the same to run. Electric heating is 100% efficient, there is nothing lost and it's the only thing that is this efficient. Anything else which isn't 100% efficient isn't designed for heating like your TV as heat is the unwanted by-product.

What you need to consider is how the heat is stored and discharged - do you want overnight heating with economy 7 and storage heaters, or an on-demand system like a convection heater? These won't store any heat at all so you could consider an oil radiator which takes time to heat but stores the heat a long time.
