West End Shows

weavsall

Hello I am going to London on the 15th Dec, and wondered if anyone knew of a good website with cheap westend tickets interested in musicals more than plays.

Thanks

note- sorry I thought I had come out of the credit card section before posting..

If you're not too bothered what to watch go to the official Half price Ticket Booth in Leicester square on the day of the performances and you can pick up a bargain. I got to see We will rock you the Queen musical for £21.50 instead of £43.
I have read somewhere that Keith Prowse has taken over the running of the booth but I don't know if you can buy online through them.

You can get £40 tickets for £25 for A Christmas Carol starring solely Patrick Stewart (details pasted below)

When you call the booking line you need to quote the fact that it is the £25 Special Offer from the Official London Theatre Guide email.

'Patrick Stewart will bring his critically acclaimed production of Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL back to the London stage for 23 performances only, from 6 - 31 December, at the Albery Theatre.

Originally seen for three seasons in New York and in London in 1993 at the Old Vic, A CHRISTMAS CAROL won Patrick Stewart an Olivier Award for 'Best Entertainment' and a 'Best Actor' Drama Desk Award. Patrick Stewart, using just a few props but a wealth of virtuosity and dramatic nuance, conjures up the full world of the beloved classic A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Stewart portrays every character in the story, including 'Bob Cratchit', 'Tiny Tim', 'Marley', 'Fezziwig' and, of course, the world's most famous curmudgeon, 'Ebenezer Scrooge'.

One of England's most respected stage actors, with a host of starring roles at the RSC, the Royal National Theatre, the West End and Broadway to his name, Patrick Stewart has also starred in many television productions and films, including playing 'Captain Ahab' opposite Gregory Peck in 'Moby !!!!!!' and playing 'Henry II' opposite Glenn Close in 'The Lion in Winter'. However, he is most popularly known for his performances in the blockbuster sci-fi films 'X-Men' and its sequel 'X2' and as 'Captain Picard' in both the 'Star Trek' films and television series.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL is adapted and staged by Patrick Stewart, with lighting by Fred Allen, and is presented in London by Camm Lane Ltd and Kate Elliott.
