Probate.

My Mum passed away earlier this year. She owned a house, which is rented out and the rest of her money was in a trust fund, and the trustees are also executors of her estate. They are part of a large firm of solicitors. Probate was applied for by another member of this firm (an accountant) and was granted at the end of July 2008. My brother and myself are the main beneficiaries of the will, with small legacies to her grand children. The shares that make up the trust fund were sold at the end of July. We want to keep the house and continue renting it. At the moment the rent from the house is going into the solicitors client fund. Could anyone give me an idea of when we could expect things to be settled, I don't seem to be able to get an answers from the solicitors, and as their charges are already around £5,000 I am loathe to contact them again and add even more to their bill.
