Help with F&C Shares CTF

Hi,
I have two lovely boys aged 1 and 2 and a half and have done an F&C shares CTF for both.
As of today, I've paid in 1875.00 into the first and thats now worth 1500.00 and into the second I've paid 1200.00 and thats worth 1050.00 - the amounts include the Gov 250.00.
Not what I'd call a great return!!
Now I appreciate that there is volitility in the markets at the moment, but the way I see it, I'm paying some joke at F&C to lose my childrens money.
I pay £75 each month into 3 funds (3 x £25) - a UK, a US and a Pacific and I'm wondering whether to move the lot into cash.
Can someone give me some advice on what to do as I'm in shock how badly F&C are managing things.
