You're right. It's unlikely which is why I said keep an eye on it rather than state that the house was actually moving. I was just pointing out the one thing others hadn't.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

If you've got a large enough gap on the hinge side and to save planing the door you could 'let in' (chop out) the bottom hinge this will move the door over a little too.mookybargirl wrote: »Our bathroom door has always been stiff at the bottom half of the door, but it's gotton so much worse. It's as though the bottom is too wide for the gap, but the top is fine. The hinges are all tight. Short of planing a bit off the bottom, am I missing something obvious?
If I force it shut, I basically run the risk of pulling off the door handle and getting stuck in there! lol
Don't want to consider a new door as they all match and are about 9 years old so it would tough to find another the same....

Before rushing out
Wot about a piece of rough sandpaper??
Place on floor ( rough side up :rotfl:)
Open and close door ..... repeat a few times
i.e. sand bottom of door. Might not work, if you need a lot off , but
its a cheap /easy option to try .0
