Dear All
I have found a leak of what seems to be water coming from near the plug for shaving in my bathroom. Really not sure what to do about it, ie should i call a plumber? what kind of insurance covers leaks in the bathroom?
Thanks

No insurance will cover the leak, but will cover damage caused by the water, i.e., if a first floor shower drain pipe was leaking into hallway below it, the hallway would ceiling etc would be covered (provided the leak hadn't been happening for ages) and possible trace and access work would be covered (which means work done to trace the fault).
In your case, I would just get 2 quotes from different plumbers and pay for the job, if no damage elsewhere has been caused, as it is purely routine maintenance and wouldn't be covered under an insurance policy.
The above of course is assuming you don't have plumbing cover with any company etc.My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0
