Size of Boot on Hire Car?

Can anyone help me?
I am hiring a car on holiday and I need to make sure the boot will take a pushchair and also 3 medium size peices of luggage.
The cars I am being offered by rental companies are:
Renault Laguna
Toyota Avensis
Volkswagon Passat
Which would you recommend as being the roomiest in the boot?
Thanks in advance! x

All Saloon or Estate models? My Passat Est would easily take that load.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0

If it's a Passat saloon you may struggle due to the size of the opening. A lot depends on your pushchair, if it's a small umbrella fold buggy one it shouldn't be an issue.
Have a look at https://www.whatcar.co.uk and check the rviews of each car they state the boot size in the specifications. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

The problem with rental companies is, they can never guarantee to give you a specific make/model.0 -
Thanks for the replies, I think they are all saloons. What I may do is hire a people carrier and then at least I know the inside will fit some bags if need be! x0

The Laguna will be a hatchback so large. Passat is big but the opening is narrow being a saloon. Not sure about the Avensis.0

I agree with the poster who says they can't guarantee the vehicle - I've rarely had what we've ordered and twice they've tried to give us something entirely inappropriate despite my trying to do you what you did and think carefully beforehand.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Avensis boots are large, they should swallow that up no problem.
Phone up the company and ask....;);)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
